Pirates Cove Marina has the unique distinction of always having been run by one-eyed mariners! Now on its third unique ownership since the Cove was dug in the 1960’s, each of the marina’s “Captains” have been “optically challenged”! |

Our unique docks ‘sing’ when the wind blows!! Our singular pilings function like organ pipes resulting in a melody that echoes the legendary Siren’s Song of the sea. |

Pirates Cove cares about our little sprogs (pirates-on-training)! If you have unexpected guests with children, Pirates Cove will lend you lifejackets to keep the sprogs safe. FREE. Keeping our present and future boaters safe is a priority! |

For the delight and use of the marina families and boating patrons… around the property are patches of herbs (chives, oregano, mint, lamb’s ear…) and apple trees of assorted varieties. Look in the Memorial garden, in the front garden and by the in-ground pool! Go ahead – Plunder it! |

Paul’s grandfather was an operating engineer on the New York State Canal until his retirement. Now that Paul is a grampa too, that constitutes five generations on this New York Canal… thus far… |

When Old Glory flies in the spring, it’s an indication the first boat has splashed! She’ll stay proudly waving until the last boat is pulled in the autumn, then the flags are taken down and retired for winter. |

Captain Paul White, current owner of Pirates Cove Marina, grew up in a boating family and started working at the marina when he was just 13 years old. He was always taking things apart (and putting them back together !!) to see what made them “run” and was a constant shadow behind the marina’s mechanic, OJ Colbert. Paul admired OJ’s intelligence and passion for all things marine, and was driven by a compelling desire to acquire the knowledge and expertise to become a master marine mechanic. Over the years, he trained in fiberglass repair and construction, marine wiring and electrical, gas and diesel fuel and injection processes, and attained a plethora of marine related certifications.
Gaining the vast knowledge necessary to fulfill his dream of owning a marina., proved both challenging and rewarding. He has had extensive experience with Crusader, Mercruiser, Volvo, Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, OMC engines; Onan, Kohler, and Westerbeke generators, has judged competitions in Marine engine repair, and echoing his mentor, trained many excellent mechanics.
Paul has successfully restored antique boats for competition and has a vast knowledge of classic and antique watercraft, maintaining a treasure trove of marine engine parts and hardware. Looking for parts and pieces for a restoration? Check with Captain Paul!
In 1977, Paul purchased his love and passion and today Pirates Cove Marina is a reflection of his life; a haven for boaters, an oasis of calm in a fast-paced world of stress, and a ‘sandbox’ for boaters and their toys.

We are staffed to perform all types of repair, installation, fabrication and restoration with fiberglass, wood, steel & aluminum. We service gas and diesel engines, drive systems, power plants, electronics & underwater gear.
And we’re really nice people!
Pirates Cove Marina and Dock’s Grill are perfectly situated in the very center of New York State; on the Oneida River 1.5 miles east of the Oneida, Oswego and Seneca Rivers junction (Three Rivers)… a delightful respite on your trip or a perfect destination spot!
We are a jump ahead of Lock 23 on the way North to Lake Ontario and west of Oneida Lake toward the Hudson River and New York Harbor.
